Reflection

Tonight while holding Moonbeam I passed by a window and saw a reflection shining at me. For a fleeting moment I thought, "That happy woman with that sparkling baby is so lucky. I hope she realizes it."

It took a second before I realized that the happy, lucky woman with the sparkling baby was me.

Yes! I still catch that woman's reflection and am surprised by it myself from time to time...

Dedicated to love and laughter, family and friends, fun and fearlessness. Through thick and thin, I am committed to enjoying this (always amazing, sometimes bumpy) journey of parenting through open adoption.

After 10 years of TTC, Apollo and I decided to throw in the towel on biology and open our hearts to bringing a child home through open adoption. 9 months (nearly to the day) after committing to the adoption process, we welcomed little Moonbeam into the world and we became a family of three through the blessing of open adoption.

Four and a half years later, after a bumpy 3 year wait, our little Sunshine Girl was placed with us through open adoption on a magical afternoon when we were least expecting it. We feel so blessed with the gift of parenting our two beautiful daughters after years and years of infertility. It all makes sense now.
